OBLITERATE THE MYTHS!
It’s been a long time coming.  4 years ago I worked harder than I’ve ever worked on any record I’ve made.  I was working in extremely difficult circumstances, everything was in midi and I had terrible latency problems during recording (that’s where the audio is not in sync with the instruments you are playing, there is a second or two delay) which made me feel like there was something wrong with my ear or my ability to play…. My family was telling me I wasn’t a real artist, and the only person who believed in me, or supported me was Jer.  … I had never created arrangements for songs before, previous to this I was a songwriter having released Sola and The Loaded Whispers.  Then someone came along who told me they wanted to help get my music out to the world, and the result of which was this album being hijacked and sold against my will.  My younger self was afraid of confrontation, so even though this person had no rights over my work, I let the record drown out of my own fear.  I figured this record was lost and I was heartbroken over it.  So finally, last night I have uploaded it and it is now on Bandcamp free for download.
OBLITERATE THE MYTHS
Also last night I uploaded my first record, Sola which was made with a little computer mic and a free studio program.  I sang in whispers in the middle of the night so as not to wake my housemates.  This is also free for download.

A track from my record Hypatia.  This song is called Grace, and it’s named for Grace Melbury from The Woodlanders.  I wrote it about my estranged father.  Here are my words…

Follow me down to the place where your apathy’s found
Forget where you’ve been
To think or to feel is a sin
For I know nothing
Nothing is real but the pain
And all I wanted was for you to know my name

Drink up you’re done till you pour another one
No longer alive
You’re laughing
You’re crying inside
So why’d you tear me from the ether
The heavens above
If you didn’t want me
You should have left me where I was

You think yourself a father and a friend
Only to one now
You’re beyond repremand
And I was the fool who tried to love you
I had to learn the hard way that nothing is true
And nothing is real
It’s a big cosmic joke
But at least I know now
Maybe there’s the hope

Follow me down to the place where your apathy’s found
Forget where you’ve been
To think or to feel is a sin
For I know nothing, nothing is real but the pain
And all I wanted
Was for you to know my name

You have bettered me.  You’ve pulled me up by the roots.

Someone showed this to me today, it’s an hour of psychedelic music and my song Miriam (Only a Dream) from Hypatia is in the playlist!

A demo from my next record, the song is called Sing Out Louise.

I’ve always had a soft voice, and when I was little I was constantly told by those around me that the way I sang wasn’t right because it wasn’t loud enough, or ‘strong’ enough.  Until I started making my own records in my early 20’s, I didn’t really believe there was a place for people who sing like me… And Gypsy was a favourite film of mine.  When Rose would tell Louise to sing out, it struck me deeply.

It’s about that time again.  This is a new demo from my next record.  The song is called Playing Forever… I wrote the song, I’m playing all the instruments, and I recorded myself doing all of this in my little home studio. I’m not sure yet what the record is going to be called…

Here are my words:

Soon the eye will fix itself to a mirror
Then it will be the very eye
And I don’t want to call you
You’re too dull
I was born in song
Playing forever

When the ravens fly as day is dawning
Then I hope you’ll see their merry lies
I don’t want to call you
You’re too dull
I was born in song
Playing forever

Me and Wolf playing my song Gazebo from With Your Shield or on it.  This video was taken with my mobile phone so the sound quality isn’t great… As always, the song, and the record are free to download and use as you wish.
